Bootstrap 2.3.2 Checkbox
Custom Root and Indicator over Base Checkbox.
The custom Root / Indicator anatomy adapts the Bootstrap 2.3.2 visual language. It is not the archived native checkbox implementation, and it does not bundle legacy Bootstrap JavaScript or Glyphicons.
Base Checkbox owns controlled and uncontrolled checked and indeterminate, pointer and Space activation, disabled behavior, focus, and the checkbox role with its mixed state. Indicator derives its tick or dash from the nearest Root and owns no second value or activation. Mixed takes precedence over checked.
Use the page runtime selector to compare Web Components, React, Vue 3, and Vue 2. Toggle the unchecked, checked, and mixed examples; Tab to the final control for keyboard focus.
- Root:
checked/defaultChecked,indeterminate/defaultIndeterminate, anddisabled - Root emits inherited
checkedChangeandindeterminateChangesignals - Indicator: derived display only; place it inside its Root
