Standalone Neobrutalist single-line text input.

This draft standalone Input inherits Base Input. It is independent of FieldControl: Base owns the one plain-text editor, controlled/uncontrolled value, normalized editing and composition events, disabled/read-only state, accessible naming and physical focus.

Its visual reference is Neo input.tsx at 3306a802. The recipe preserves 2.5rem height, 0.75rem horizontal/0.5rem vertical padding, 0.875rem text, a 2px border, rounded-base corners and no resting shadow. Inherited focus-visible adds a black ring; disabled adds cursor and opacity. Dimensions remain font-relative when root text size changes.

Import brutalistInputRoot from @proto.ui/prototypes-brutalist/input or the package root. The CLI key is brutalist-input. This is workspace draft source, not a claim that a published npm version includes it.

This is an unofficial, bounded projection. Upstream arbitrary input types, file controls, caller className/DOM prop forwarding, placeholder color and forced-color outline parity remain open. It does not add form submission, validation or a second editor. Real four-runtime browser evidence, operating-system IME, Compiler and native-target acceptance remain separate and pending; source and simulated-DOM tests are not visual acceptance.
